SMART has developed software that maintains instrument inventory, a customer database and charges customers through an automatic debit process. The program also generates collection notices and reports.

SMART has full Repair/Maintenance capabilities, and can service up to 10,000 instruments per year.

This program allows students to apply rent towards the purchase of a NEW instrument.

With basic assistance from a district education or arts organization SMART can provide a complete instrument rental program that would include all of the above listed services.

Instrument rentals can provide an average of $10.00 per month for every instrument rented. As an example:
100 Instruments = $1000 per month!
500 Instruments = $5000 per month!
1000 Instruments = $10,000 per month!

The SMART Foundation can supply a “Turn-Key” program that would include the rental instruments, an exchange program for damaged instruments and provide a billing and collections service.

The SMART Rental Partner would develop support for the program within their school district, provide a few volunteers to help rent the instruments out through a special event at the beginning of the school year and provide minor support throughout the remainder school year.
